Developing English-language translations of Japanese political education materials for wider distribution/dissemination. We prioritize translating materials which are overlooked among Japanese voices. For example, the first English translation of the recorded testimonies of all survivors of the Korean and Chinese Massacre in the immediate aftermath of the 1923 Great Kanto Earthquake. We are also working to make videos available by creating subtitles in either language.
Capturing stories and voices from Japan's "margins." We profile specific people/organizations and their stories and make them available in English.
In 2019, we held an information exchange and networking event together with Kobe chapter of the Sayama Justice campaign, and in 2023, we partnered with San Francisco 'Comfort Women' Justice Coalition to join national commemoration of the 1923 Korean and Chinese Victims of the Kanto Earthquake & Massacre. We utilize preexisting relationships we have on the ground to seek out opportunities for collaboration, and are always open to your suggestions and invitations.
